Job Description

Alamo Group Inc. is currently accepting applications to fill the position of Tax Intern on it's corporate staff in Seguin, TX (25 miles east of San Antonio, TX). Under direct supervision, the Tax Intern will assist the Tax Analyst and the Director of Tax to complete daily tasks and strategic initiatives.

Additionally, the selected individual:

* Assists with property, sales and use, and income tax return preparation.
* Assists with quarterly and year end reconciliations of tax accounts.
* Processes payments of invoices, tax bills, and tax returns.
* Pull and obtain data needed for various tax filings.
* Assists with special projects as needed
* Corresponds with various subsidiary representatives and third party representatives.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

* Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or similar degree, with a minimum of two (2) years of undergraduate study.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good analytical skills.
* Proficient with desktop computer applications; including spreadsheets and word processing.
* Ability to organize and prioritize work.
* Ability to reason and use good judgement.
* Must be able to work a minimum of 10-20 hours per week and provide ample notice of changes in schedules each semester.

Education and Experience:

Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or similar degree, with a minimum of two (2) years of undergraduate study.

Working Conditions:

Work performed in an office environment, with frequent sitting for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 10 pounds independently; and stooping, reaching, and/or bending to perform accounting clerical/filing requirements.
