Research Assistant, Cancer Diagnostics Development

Work in a cross-functional team that supports clinical trials testing new targeted anti-cancer drugs, by developing tailored companion diagnostic assays. The DAKO brand within Agilent Technologies is one of the leaders in the field of companion diagnostics, partnering with various pharmaceutical companies, in order to bring their precision medicine drugs to market. We are looking for a talented and dedicated entry level biologist/biochemist to join our Companion Diagnostics Group in our Research and Development Department. You will provide technical support to develop accurate, robust and precise assays. Your challenge will be to create value for Agilent through innovative ideas that either create new businesses or enhance existing ones.

Here is what you will be measured on:

* Providing technical support to develop immunohistochemistry assays, in situ hybridization assays, and possibly molecular biology-based assays.
* Defining and developing approaches to technical design assignments within feasibility projects, development projects and technology development projects in the CDx division
* Carrying out technical design tasks which require use of planning and judgment
* Solving a broad range of technical design problems of varying scope and complexity
* Understanding and implementing our quality management system framework. Quality is our passion.
* Carry out experiments including planning, execution, quantitative data analysis and reporting.
* Ensuring success through collaboration with your team Qualifications: Requires higher education or specialized training / certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically, a BS is considered appropriate, complemented by 3+years of relevant work experience.
