Job Description

At the end of calendar 2014 this role will transition to the new Electronic Measurement Company when Agilent separates into two world class firms. We are specifically looking for a technical resource to join our IT team to deliver on two critical projects in 2014, one in PC Services and the other on SharePoint. You will apply your classroom education to the real world, working on a PC compliance project for automating one of the inventory tasks for Microsoft licensing, and the second, learning the architecture of an enterprise SharePoint system to split the current environment and data into two environments. This will give you some first year experience in both the client space and at the enterprise application level. You will begin your job at Agilent working with a mentor who will guide you through the basics of client hardware and software compliance. You will be tasked with automating a specific Microsoft inventory process for improving our compliance reporting and management. You will have the opportunity to use a combination of tools for this project. You will have the option to develop your skills on a variety of tools for inventory management, web page creation, use of SharePoint for document management, and the development of the ongoing management and reporting processes. Your other assignment will be participating in the Separation of our enterprise SharePoint environment into two environments prior to the company separation at the end of 2014. Components of the assignment will be in project management, working with internal and external resources for technical task management such as testing changes, issue assessment, customer data separation, and service process changes.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a new/recent college graduate for this position. - BS/MS CS required - Analytical problem-solving skills - High degree of flexibility, independence, initiative, and detail orientation - Good communication skills (written and verbal). Foreign Language skills a plus. - Understanding of Project Management principles - Document managed fundamentals, SharePoint, Confluence and Jive familiarity a plus - Working knowledge of general Microsoft user and development tools, including Microsoft .NET framework and SQL Database - Understanding of business concepts (ROI, budgets, planning)
