Job Description

Field Parts Manager

 

AGCO is currently seeking a Field Parts Manager to join our Parts Sales team. The Field Parts Manager will play a key part in growing AGCO part sales as well as programs that support dealer sales to assigned dealers within Oklahoma and Texas.  Additionally, the Field Parts Manager will be responsible for assisting dealers increasing the dealers’ retail parts sales, training dealer personnel on products and programs, and maintaining accurate records while working with AGCO’s AGCO Parts Integration, Retail Inventory Management, and Whole Goods teams.

 

Note: Relocation assistance is available for this position. There is 70% field travel required in an AGCO vehicle to dealerships in Oklahoma and Texas.

 

Responsibilities of the Field Parts Manager:

  • Travel 7-10 days a month, including overnights, to assigned dealers throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
  • Conduct multistep, sequential problem-solving activities, which include comparing, analyzing, and calculating data relevant to departmental operations
  • Independently and routinely contact dealers in-person, by phone, and via e-mail to solicit orders for AGCO parts division products
  • Provide systems training to dealers
  • Assist and consult the dealer in merchandising parts and growing retail sales
  • Actively promote and provide information to dealers on special promotions and programs
  • Routinely follow-up with dealers regarding any relevant questions to promote positive dealer relationships

 

 

Required Qualifications of the Field Parts Manager:

  • 3-5 years of product sales experience within a dealer or distribution business model
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets
  • Ability to drive an automobile and have a valid driver’s license

 

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Field Parts Manager:

  • Knowledge of farm and agricultural equipment
  • Prior parts sales experience, including understanding the logistics and analytics, in a supply chain field

 

 

Education of the Field Parts Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a marketing, business, or agricultural related field
