Job Description

GSI is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Omaha, Nebraska. The Design Engineer will be responsible for the development, introduction and support of new products for GSI material handling and crop nutrient lines as well updating and revising existing products. The Design Engineer will work with cross functional teams to plan, test, and launch products.

 

Note: Up to 25% of travel may be required for this role.

 

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer:

  • Develop, introduce and support new products for material handling and crop nutrient lines
  • Conduct product analysis and provide revisions to existing products
  • Supervise and plan testing and prototype programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support of the manufacturing release product 

 

Qualifications of the Design Engineer:

  • 2+ years of design engineering experience is preferred but we are open to considering entry level candidates
  • Experience in the Agriculture industry is preferred
  • Experience using 3D modeling software such as Creo or Pro/E is preferred  
  • Experience working with cross functional teams on engineering projects is preferred

 

Education of the Design Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree Agricultural, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree is required
