Job Description

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:Work closely with Product Development Engineers to develop ATE test programs for production testing and debug of AMD microprocessors on industry standard ATE equipment.SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Learn to develop, debug, and validate ATE test programs and patterns on industry standard ATE equipment.2. Learn to develop package and sort test programs, supporting hardware, yield improvement, and cost reduction efforts.3. Support software development, integration, validation, and debug of existing and new microprocessor products4. Support product improvement activities, including cost reduction, yield improvement, and resolving quality/customer test related issuesPREFERRED SKILLS:1. Familiar with Microsoft standard apps (i.e. Office), Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Linux or Unix Operating Systems2. Experience with C/C++, Java and Assembly Language3. Experience with X86 CPU architecture4. Courses in Digital Logic, Device Physics, and basic Circuit Theory5. Familiar with using logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc.6. Familiar with AGILE and/or LEAN software development processes7. Experience with Perl, Java and Python development.PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:The candidate should be working towards a technology related Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
