Opportunity at a Glance

The Consumer Insights Analyst is responsible for all phases of marketing research and consumer insights assignments. Areas of research include, but are not limited to, prospects, current students and alumni as well as environment and competitive scanning. This position is expected to bring the consumer perspective to assist in building marketing initiatives that create positive brand perceptions and increased consideration, while also assisting in product-related decision making. Critical skills required for this position include: Market Research, Project Management, Analytical Thinking, Creativity, Problem-Solving, Teamwork and Communication. This position reports to the Manager, Consumer Insights.


* Responsible for all research project processes including, but not limited to: Scoping, Design, Questionnaire Writing, Data Management, Survey Programming, Survey Fielding, Data Cleaning, Analyzing, Reporting and Presenting.
* Manages all phases of consumer insights assignments, whether conducted internally or with external vendors, and be accountable for accuracy and actionability of findings.
* Produce reporting deliverables that leverage compelling data visualization and a story-driven approach.
* Provides expert insights and counsel to internal business partners across the enterprise, as well as to agency and consulting partners, based on research findings and a solid understanding of both the consumer and the business.
* Supports competitor intelligence efforts to influence decision-making among Marketing, Operations, Academic and other internal business partners.
* Synthesizes primary and secondary brand research to assist in the development of effective brand positioning and business recommendations.
* Manages multiple projects and priorities independently to support multiple internal clients.
* Completes other duties as assigned.


* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Market Research, Social Sciences or related field.
* 3+ years in market research or consumer insights (preferably at a market research firm) with proven ability to independently execute research projects from start to finish that deliver quality research insights.
* Experience with both primary and secondary research.
* Broad understanding of a wide range of research methods (quantitative and qualitative) and the appropriate application of these methods.
* Proficiency with Qualtrics Research Core platform or similar survey tools.
* Proficiency with Qualtrics Vocalize dashboard or similar survey dashboard tools.
* Proficiency with SPSS or similar data manipulation software.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills required.
* Excellent communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate and present findings.
* Strong customer service skills. Must be service-oriented and provide tailored research and reporting to different groups of users based on their needs in a timely fashion.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
