Relevant du Développeur, vêtements, le ou la titulaire de ce poste aura la responsabilité de s'assurer que tous les vêtements produits satisfont aux standards de qualité en terme d'ajustements et de construction et ce, pour tous les produits de marque et licenciés de la division hockey. Cette personne travaillera étroitement avec le développeur, les designers graphiques et l'équipe de produits afin de s'assurer du respect des critères de produits, des exigences des différentes ligues, des normes de qualité et des échéanciers.

RESPONSABILITÉS

• Créer les dossiers techniques (tech packs) incluant les spécifications et nomenclatures ainsi que la gradation si nécessaire
• Mesurer les échantillons afin de s'assurer qu'ils correspondent à l'ajustement désiré
• Identifier et analyser les problèmes d'ajustement et faire les recommandations appropriées selon les spécifications données
• Communiquer tous changements ou corrections au fabricant et s'assurer que les révisions soient faites dans les délais requis
• Créer de dessins techniques afin d'aider le fabricant à corriger les patrons
• Diriger les séances d'ajustements effectuées sur des personnes
• Mettre à jour des dossiers d'approbation des produits tout au long du processus, incluant impression, fichiers électroniques et bibliothèque de produits
• Gérer toutes les approbations requises jusqu'au processus de développement, ce qui inclut: tissus, essais de coloris en laboratoire, garnitures, emballage, art, impression, broderies, etc.
• S'assurer d'une bonne communication et du respect de tous les échéanciers et des dates importantes du calendrier de développement de produits
• Créer une librairie de tissus et de décorations afin de faciliter le design des nouveaux programmes
• Gérer le programme interne de tests de produits (wear test)

QUALIFICATIONS ET COMPÉTENCES

• Diplôme collégial en conception de vêtements ou l'équivalent, ainsi qu'un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en tant que technicien(ne) fit & specs »/ patronniste
• Compétence en normes d'ajustement, de gradation et de conception de patrons
• Excellente compréhension des méthodes d'embellissement (sérigraphie, broderie)
• Capacité à travailler en équipe dans un milieu où les activités se déroulent à un rythme rapide
• Aptitude à accomplir des tÃ-ches multiples, capacité à réagir rapidement et à s'ajuster aux changements et aux priorités variables
• Souci du détail, excellentes habiletés en gestion du temps et en communication
• Très bonne connaissance d'Excel, d'Illustrator et d'autres applications de la suite Office de Microsoft
• Disponible pour effectuer des heures supplémentaires en périodes de pointe
• Bilinguisme (français et anglais)

Reporting to the Developer, Apparel, the technician's prime responsibility will be to ensure all garments produced satisfy quality standards in terms of fit, construction, detailing and workmanship for the branded and licensed apparel products in the hoc-key division. The technician will work closely with the Developer, Apparel Graphic Designers and Product Team to ensure the product criteria, league requirements, and quality standards and timelines are met.

Key Accountabilities

• Create initial garment technical packages (tech packs) including measurement specifications for new garments and grade rules where applicable
• Measure all samples for fit and production against size specifications to ensure the desired fit and look is achieved in a timely manner
• Identify and analyze problems and make sound recommendations to ensure company specifications are being met
• Communicate to the vendor any changes or corrections that need to be made within the timeline and action schedule deadlines
• Create fit sketches to aid the vendor in correcting issues
• Lead fit sessions with live models
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on product approvals throughout process, including print, electronic files as well as product libraries
• Responsible for all necessary approvals thru development process, including but not limited to: trims, packaging, art, print, embroideries, etc.
• Ensure that all timelines and critical dates are communicated and adhered to within the production development calendar.
• Build a fabric and embellishment library to support the designing of new programs
• Manage internal wear test program

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• College Degree in fashion design or related field combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience as Fit & Specs Technician/Patternmaker
• Proficient in fitting /grading standards , garment construction and patternma-king
• Strong understanding of embellishment practices (screen printing, embroidery)
• Ability to work well within a team in a fast paced environment
• Able to multi task, react and adjust well to changes and shifting priorities
• Detail-oriented, excellent time-management and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, Illustrator and other Microsoft office applications
• Available to work overtime in peak periods
• Bilingual (French and English)
