National Contracts Assistant - Downers grove, IL

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma and advanced course work or continuing education
* One to three years experience providing support to a department or senior management. Healthcare experience preferred
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritize a diverse workload and meet simultaneous deadlines
* Self-confident, energetic, tenacious, and detail-oriented, with a high sense of urgency
* Results driven and customer oriented, with a focus on providing value-added service

ACCOUNTABLE TO: National Contracts and Business Development Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides support to National Contracts Department personnel including assisting with development of bid and contract responses, applications, licenses and maintenance of Medicaid and other operating provider numbers. Perform all other job duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Responsible for the production and timely filing of provider applications for new and existing business.
* Coordinate the development of budgets and rate analysis with accounting personnel.
* Send summaries and budgets to management and executive staff for approval.


* Development and maintenance of relationships with contracting entities
* Maintain and submit documentation for all company operating licenses and provider numbers.
* Development of accurate and complete internal paperwork related to contract documents including coordination of approvals from required Departments and Senior leaders.
* Review and comparison of existing contract agreements and amendments as they are updated.
* Support branch office locations in the management of their local business license filings when necessary
* Coordinate requests for insurance certificates and other compliance documents
* Update and management of the Contracts Database
* Filing and storing documentation according to set procedures.
* Assist with market research projects.
* Assist in the coordination and scheduling of trade shows
* Support the Department and Senior management team
* Assist the National Contracts and Business Development Specialists to develop responsive, responsible bid applications delivered on time within the constraints of the RFP.
* Provide consistent and accurate evaluations and information regarding bid and contracting to department personnel.
* Ensure compliance with all necessary provider numbers and licenses to continue operations
* Maintain accurate information within the contracts database and department files
* Accurately review/compare existing contract documents.
* Utilizes effective communication skills by demonstrating respect, concern and courtesy in all interpersonal relationships.
* Communicates information in an accurate, concise and timely manner.
* Protects confidentiality of information in written and verbal communications.
* Accepts assignments and extra duties with flexibility and willingness.
* Adheres to Company personnel policies to enhance the Department's operations.
