Job Description

As an Intern - Accounting Operations Specialist, you will be part of the Finance Shared Services Corporate Finance team responsible for general accounting and company reporting. You will participate in day to day team activities including running and analyzing fixed asset and SOX reports, compiling and organizing audit working papers, general month-end close support. You will also partner with IPG Corporate in supporting a portion of their reporting requirements.

Students will be exposed to SOX, Audit prep, Fixed Asset, and general accounting at one of the world's leading marketing technology companies.

For this role, we are seeking students who can begin an internship immediately and who are interested in interning with us until graduation. Please note this is a potential long-term internship (1+ year dedication). This Internship will require a minimum 20 hour/week commitment, between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

What you will do:

* Assist Fixed Asset team with recurring FA set-up and reporting requirements
* Maintain complete and accurate schedules and/or recons
* Assist with adhoc research, reporting and projects
* Work collaboratively with G/L and Fixed Asset members to meet deadlines
* Maintain process documentation
* Provide continuous improvement to standardize and streamline processes
* Embrace and exhibit our values
* Compile required monthly SOX reporting

What you will need:

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum 3.25 GPA
* Billing experience
* Typing proficiency
* Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet required timetables
* Proficiency in key tools (primarily Excel and Word)
* Ability to embrace change and work to achieve goals
* Flexibility to work on different opportunities as necessary
* Ability to learn and adapt to new software, i.e. Workday

* Previous accounting and/or fixed asset experience
* 1+ years billing experience
