Notice to Applicant about this Employer: You are applying for a job with an independently owned cooperative member of Ace Hardware Corporation, who operates this Ace Hardware store, not Ace Hardware Corporation. The independent store owner alone is responsible for and independently makes all decisions concerning employment related matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling. Norwalk Ace Hardware is locally owned and operated. Responsibilities for season/rental store department manager include: Maintaining accurate inventory on hand stock. Assembly of grills, mowers, and outdoor furniture. Display and merchandise seasonal items. Ensure all merchandise is correctly priced. Greet each customer and provide outstanding customer service utilizing S.A.L.E.S. process. Maintain awareness of all promotions and accompanying signage. Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness. Keep stockroom organized and clear. Process and complete orders for screen repair. Be responsive to potential safety issues. Become knowledgeable regarding merchandise and warranty coverage. Assist with delivery, as needed. Answer incoming rental calls. Write and maintain rental contracts. Track and update daily rental equipment. Perform routine maintenance of rental equipment. Inspect and report damage for rental equipment. As needed, supervise and direct sales associates. Other Essential Requirements Applicant must be available to work during the following hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Saturdays 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Sundays 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. We are open on most holidays (except, closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.) Education/Training High School or GED equivalent required. A college degree preferred. Experience Previous retail management experience required. Hardware experience preferred. Physical Demands Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.

Requirements

Require prior retail management experience. Hardware and power tool experience is a must. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
