Job Description - Accounting Manager

A DME and Medical Billing company, is in need of an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day finance operations. As Accounting Manager, this person will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring

compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and actual expenditures.

Analyze financial data and present requested reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; and keep senior leadership abreast of financial status.

Work in conjunction with Accounting Firm and provide all reports and information required for audits and tax preparation.

Analyze and prepare all sales tax documentation and ensure all relevant and appropriate laws, regulations, and codes are applied correctly to operations in multiple states.

Analyze current Quickbooks software and make recommendations for changes.

Oversee all areas of AR and AP.

Monitor changes to state and federal laws and regulations that affect the company, paying close attention to sales tax changes.

Company Overview

Partner with nursing homes to provide them with all their supply needs. Part B billing services, the company provides lease, rental, or sales of Durable Medical Equipment and a complete line of Diabetic Supplies.

Currently work with nursing homes in 32 states.

Requirements

Previous hands on accounting knowledge, preferably someone with industry Accounting manager experience or public experience.

Not afraid to step into a company and establish policies and procedures for the accounting department

Needs to have experience with sales tax and multi-state taxes

Travel: None.

Education: Bachelor's or better in accounting, CPA a plus

Software: Currently use QuickBooks but will be transitioning to a new software soon
