ABB's Electrification Products Industrial Solutions Division has three outstanding opportunities for a motivated individual to assume the role of a Manufacturing; EHS or Quality Intern in our Selmer, TN location. The qualified candidate will be working under the direction of our Manager of Shop Operations to assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing improvement projects that support our Busway systems. With a focus on Quality, Safety & Production, you can be a part of something exciting within our production facility. Formerly General Electric, the ABB Electrification Division acquired our business in July of 2018 to help expand their footprint into North America. Our people are what drive the business forward.

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Student Fall Intern to join our team. The position will be in our Selmer Busway Plant and will be a full time position.

During the course of your internship, you will have the chance to become an integral team member and will have cross functional areas of learning which include: manufacturing continuous improvement, process parameters and design requirements for quality and sustainable manufacturing processes with an emphasis on employee safety. Responsibilities will Include, but not be limited to Manufacturing; Health Safety & Environment; and Quality.

Your responsibilities

* Job functions Include but are not limited to:
* - Evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research
* - Improve manufacturing efficiency through analyzing processes
* - Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing results as needed

Your background

* - Currently be pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing / Engineering / EHS or a related field
* - GPA of 3.0 or above
* - Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
* - Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
* - Strong communication skills both written and oral/excellent team player
* - Task and detail oriented; manage time with minimal supervision
