Job Description

A Kid's Place of Tampa Bay is currently recruiting for an
experienced Director of Development,
reporting to the CEO. A Kid's Place provides residential services
to children of all ages who have been removed from their homes due
to abuse or neglect. Our primary focus is to keep sibling groups
together in a safe, stable, home-like environment until more
permanent placement can be provided.
The Director of Development will assist in carrying out our
mission, purpose and vision by planning and organizing the
fundraising function of the organization in order to achieve
strategic fundraising goals.
Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the CEO and Board members, analyze,
design and implement successful fundraising events and
campaigns.

Analyze, identify, and lead core development strategies that
will enhance areas such as planned giving, endowment gifts, major
gifts, capital campaigns, and annual giving to meet fundraising
goals.

Manage donor information that ensures accuracy, donor contact
and recognition.

Develop and implement strategies to identify new prospect
opportunities as well as enhance current giving.

Build and maintain successful relationships with members of the
Board, corporations, foundations, prospective and current donors,
and A Kid's Place staff members.

Communicate regularly with donor base. Develop materials such
as briefing memos, proposals, stewardship materials, thank you
notes, letters, written updates, etc.

Actively participate in selected community functions as a
representative of A Kid's Place.

Initiate, coordinate and provide tours of the facility to
potential donors.

Research, evaluate and develop grant proposals that would
benefit A Kid's Place.

Plan, budget and execute special events throughout the year to
raise funds.

Qualifications:
5-7 years of professional development experience in a nonprofit
fundraising environment. Bachelor's degree required in related
field/CFRE a plus. Demonstrated success in a leadership role in a
successful campaign. Proven track record of soliciting and closing
major gifts and a clear understanding of tactics required to
build/manage a broad base prospect pool. Outstanding leadership
abilities and superior interpersonal skills. Rigorous attention to
detail and keen problem solving skills. Excellent computer skills
using Microsoft Office products required. Must maintain a high
level of confidentiality. Effective and creative writing skills.
