About You

The Copywriting Intern will assist our Associate Creative Director, Copy, with translating client goals into compelling online marketing copy that aligns with 3Q strategy and best practices for various platforms. Your primary focus will be crafting engaging copy for social media but you can also plan to write anything from short banner copy, to scripts and full websites. As an intern, you'll fully dig in, strategize, and write on multiple projects with tight deadlines. Ideally, you're a multitasking ace with a passion for storytelling and details. And your work is, of course, top-notch. Previous internship/experience at an advertising agency is a plus, but not required. This is a 40/hr per week, paid, 3-month-long internship.

The Copywriting Intern reports to the Associate Creative Director, Copy.

You'll be responsible for:

* Primary: Write short, compelling copy for social that is on brand and focused on performance marketing
* Keep up with and follow best practices for all social media platforms
* Perform QA tasks on peer work, including creative assets and presentation decks
* Help brainstorm and create original concepts for existing clients, new business pitches, and audits
* Dig into the strategy behind each idea and concept
* Write in a range of styles as appropriate for different clients, verticals, and mediums
* Work closely with our Associate Creative Director, Copy, and our team of Project Managers, Designers and Production Artists

You'll need to have:

* You have a bachelor's degree (preferably in English, Advertising/Marketing, or Writing)
* You have a passion for advertising, web technologies, social media platforms and their abilities/limitations (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat)
* You're a great communicator across these core areas: verbal, written, presentation, and meeting facilitation in both individual and group settings
* You participate in brainstorming sessions designed toward specific outputs and client solutions
* You are open to other points of view, and able to give and receive constructive criticism


* You can handle shifting priorities

Additional things that will impress us:

* Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage time
* Must have the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail and quality assurance
* Must be highly responsive with an appreciation for digital communication tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Suite)
* Basic understanding of user experience on websites and apps
* Experience in editing/QA

Program Knowledge:

* Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs)
* Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
* Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
* Mac/PC platform literate

Internship Details:

* Schedule: 40 hrs/week, 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
* Paid internship
* Internship ends Spring 2020
* PTO, paid holidays, and accrued sick pay
* Weekly lunch and free food and drinks in the office
