3M is seeking a Software Engineer for the Identity Management Quick Response Team (QRT) located in Pasadena, CA. Ready to be part of what's next?

Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Software Developer will work closely with colleagues and customers, throughout the full software development life cycle to gather requirements, design, develop and implement integrated software and systems solutions.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with software architect, software engineers, quality engineers, and other team members to design and build required systems meeting customer requirements
- Develop server applications for multiple platforms such as Windows, Linux, AIX, etc.
- Work closely with other Lead developers to define interfaces and integration points
- Understand and adhere to design and coding procedures and standards

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited Institution
- Experience developing software using C/C++, and/or Java
- Experience with Computer Architecture and working with Relational Databases
- Experience working with various operating systems including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Linux or other UNIX variants

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree with Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other computer related field
- GPA (in major) at 3.0 or above
- Client-server system integration experience
- Familiar with network programming using TCP/IP, UDP, etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows development environment and tools such as Visual Studio 6.0/2010, Visual SourceSafe
- Experience with Web based and Java development tools
- J2E, EJB, Hybernate, JavaScript development experience
- SOA knowledge and web service development experience
- Script development experience
- ORACLE and MSSQL experience
- Ability to understand large volumes of source code
- Must be a great team player and enjoy working in a fast pace environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective facilitation, communication and teaching skills
- Ability to engage and influence the organization
- Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraints
- Ability to understand and apply analytical and statistics tools
- Ability to travel for system installation and customer support
- Results oriented with strong process and execution skills

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international travel
