The 2ternship

2U's internship program, the 2ternship, has been a critical part of 2U's growth since the inception of the company. Many individuals, including some executive leaders, started their careers as 2terns and continue their tenure today here at 2U.

A 2ternship allows students to build skill sets in their area of interest, gain real world business experience and receive ongoing feedback to maximize their professional development. Our 2terns attend meetings with senior executives, shadow colleagues and utilize various training resources throughout their work tenure. 2terns experience this all while being a part of a diverse and inclusive organization that is working towards one common mission - making education more accessible and global.

This is a part-time (15-20 hours a week), spring (January 7 - April 26) paid internship which will expose you to the world of EdTech.

Program Management and Operations Teams

The 2U Program Management & Operations intern works within the University Services team. This team is responsible for executing operational priorities for the continued success of programs with our University partners. With acute focus on executing operational tactics and activities as well as supporting strategic business priorities, the team shares 2U's passion for transforming higher education and creating great outcomes for students and our university partners.

Key role and responsibilities:

* Work with colleagues on ongoing process implementation of technology, data analysis, and marketing efforts
* Assist with auditing and documenting internal processes for the various University partner programs to ensure consistency and compliance
* Consult on process improvements and process changes
* Respond to questions, resolve problems, and provide assistance with regularly recurring administrative tasks for other team members
* Collaborate with departments across the entire company, including admissions, student success, and marketing, to ensure business needs are met for our University partners
* Research issues related to business problems and ideas, providing executive summaries to program leadership

Things that should be in your background:

* Currently enrolled or have recently completed a bachelors or masters degree.
* Majors that demonstrate strong critical thinking and writing skills preferred, such as business, analytics, communications, and liberal arts
* Strong interest in process design and management. This is a perfect entry point for undergraduates interested in consulting work.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to research and understand technical documents
* Focus on achieving defined results, by being detail-oriented and exceeding goals and objectives
* Ability to multitask, switch priorities, collaborate with colleagues and be flexible

Other attributes that will help you in this role:

* Strong knowledge of web applications and basic software (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, Confluence, JIRA)
* Desire to work in a fast-paced environment while working with a diverse team
* Ability to thrive in an environment of change while constantly adapting and evolving with our organization
