Solutions Architect

Job Description:

Design business solution based on the specified requirements.

Translate business and user requirements into functional/technical specifications.

Translate Business Requirements into appropriate technical specifications that support functional, technical and visual requirements.

Document Functional Specifications, Interfaces, Reports, UI, Workflow, Upgrade and Conversions from the legacy systems.

Understand the business needs and act as an advocate for the interests of business stakeholders during the implementation of new business solutions, software applications, and system enhancements.

Develop, validate, and secure acceptance of requirement documents. Work closely with assigned project teams to solidify understanding of the requirements and ensure their realization.

Work with onsite and off-shore software engineering teams

Maintain requirements traceability throughout the development life cycle

Assist with Dev, QA and User Acceptance Testing - Work with End Users to Define and Execute Test Scenarios

Liaison with other technical areas in IT Services to ensure that non-functional requirements are captured, formulate solution alternatives that fit in with our current infrastructure, and ensure their buy-in to the proposed solutions

Develop UML to support technical requirements

Facilitate JAD sessions with business users and key technical resources



Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field or related on-the-job experience preferred

Understanding of, and experience with, agile and waterfall SDLC methodologies

Extensive Domain Knowledge in Financial / Banking Domain is a plus.

Experience with a wide range of applications and platforms, encompassing a variety of functions, and understanding client/server, and web technology is a must.

Excellent Communication, Analytical, Interpersonal and Presentation Skills a Must.

Knowledge on requirement module in mercury Quality Center is a plus

6+ Years of Experience in Business / Technical Analysis Experience

Working knowledge of software development
