Job Description

Position Description

This position will be part of a large architecture team supporting a significant SAP implementation in support of BCA's Commercial Aviation Services Materials Management organization. This team is responsible for the design of processes, data, technology and applications to create a modern environment for this business. This position will work closely with highly experienced architects who will serve as mentors. This is an exciting program implementing modern ERP software and a great environment for learning. Provides basic assistance to define requirements, design and document architectures, data and information management systems and components. Provides assistance to review conformance with design constraints. Assists others to incorporate architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Assists with the development and maintenance of basic architecture views and models. Gathers data on existing architecture solutions and alternatives. Supports the evaluation of products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards.

General knowledge of IT architectural concepts, principles, standards, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

General knowledge of the security of architecture, electronic data communications, network/data, electronic commerce, electronic commerce, and other related areas to provide computing security and integration services to company computer users and customers. Interfaces with the appropriate government agencies, customers, suppliers, and company personnel in order to facilitate implementation of protective mechanisms and to ensure understanding of and compliance with computing security requirements.

General ability to build computing systems from a variety of components to provide a business solution. Includes the general ability to integrate application components and databases across computing platforms.

Typical Education/Experience

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
