About the job:
We're seeking talented engineers to help build the best telecommunications API on the planet.
Successful candidates will be developers with intern or co-op experience shipping high-profile user-facing products, and working in large code bases
Within your first six months, you will collaborate with the team to design, prototype, implement and deploy one or more core Twilio platform service
Learn to own, operate and maintain your team's services in production
Tackle some of the most challenging problems from REST API's to voice and messaging systems
Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment. What language? You name it, we got it: Java, Python, PHP, Ruby
Collaborate across the company and interact with our customers (software engineers) to define, design and build new APIs
A degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Background in networking, operating systems and/or security
Relevant engineering experience with Python, PHP, C, C++ or Java
You love shipping software fast and frequently
Passionate. Persistent. Creative. You find clever ways around problems, or just plow through them
Prior experience in industry as a developer working on mission, critical user-facing systems
Experience with traditional RDBMS databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
