Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Cubic Transportation Systems is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with at least two years experience in Coda Financial Software development. In this position you will perform complex Coda configuration, integration and installation assignments following designated standards and procedures. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Install and setup Coda's products and pre-requisites at various sites, both on-site and remotely.
Investigate and resolve any technical issues/problems that occur at the various sites during implementation, including database performance/tuning and possible software bugs.
Prepare and deliver technical training courses to the financial staff.
Estimate the time required to complete technical implementation activities.
Provide reporting to management on a timely basis
Participate in the analysis, design, development, test, modification and integration of Coda with other subsystems for performing daily, weekly and monthly settlement
Develop software requirements, related design, and code.
Perform software testing.
Apply and maintain quality standards.
Assess severity of problems, determine corrective action, resolve technical problems, perform fault isolation and implement solutions.
Perform installation activities or provide installation support of Coda in test, staging and production environments Revise and update programs and documentation, including reviewing schedules and milestones.
Keep abreast of improvements in programming techniques

Operations
Provide application support to all operations in North America
Troubleshoot financial settlement and reconciliation issues in Coda.
Provide support to settlement managers as required
Participate in total quality management/continuous process improvement teams as required.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Four-year college degree in computer science, electronic engineering or other related technical discipline.
Five years of software engineering experience with a minimum of two years of Coda Financial Software experience.
Experience in designing, developing and troubleshooting software programming desired. Ability to use PC software such as word processing, database, spreadsheet and flowchart. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Knowledge of customer needs and competing products desirable. Able to analyze and solve complex software engineering problems. Able to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadline and budget guidelines.
