Job Description

Overview:

Are you passionate about quality and love technology? Then Spacelabs Healthcare has the position for you. In this position you would be working with our Advanced Research and Technologies group on the cutting edge of healthcare. A person in this positoin would create, evaluate, recommend, and execute effective test plans and strategies as well as design and implement automated test environments for the next generation of Spacelabs medical products.

NOTE: This is a 9 month temporary full-time role.

Responsibilities:

- Complete assigned tasks on-time and in accordance with the appropriate process.
- Participate in technical reviews to ensure product quality.
- Regular status reports of testing activities.
- Evaluate software designs to understand best test implementations.
- Design and create software test harnesses or automated test scripts.
- Good teamwork skills as part of a multi-discipline project team.
- Estimate time and effort on projects and tasks.
- Document test execution.
- File issues/bugs with accurate details.
- Lead technical reviews of project deliverables.
- Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Successful completion of other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 years of recent experience with C/C++/C# is a must.
- A minimum of 5 years of software testing experience. Experience in Medical devices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required.
- Must be able to use PC and software testing tools.
- Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in creating test scripts, harnesses, and programs for white-box testing is required.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for software & system testing.
- Ability to understand configuration and set-up of equipment for testing and development.
- Good documentation skills and discipline.
- Able to draw on past experience and judgment to make effective decisions.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for software & system testing.
