Researches and performs basic analysis of processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional
requirements for application or system design. Assists customers to clarify basic requirements. Interprets and
translates routine requirements into functional specifications. Assists in the development and execution of
moderately complex tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
Functional Analyst to Support Non-IT systems transition to IT functional support. Work with Customers on
requirements definitions, document and validate change requirements, use Agile development principles and
capture data for reporting and metrics, learn and use reports and metrics in order to demonstrate progress and
delivery to customers. Research and obtain data centric requirements for complex and/or multiple processes to
identify and refine requirements into functional specifications. Produce documentation items that describe them in
unit processes and functions. Develop, review and critique program specifications. Design, document, execute,
and verify computing application functional tests. Support system implementation activities, as required.
Represent functional expertise necessary to define the business functions in data and process models for data
acquisition. Support the development of logical and physical computing database models. Understand standard
software development methodology. Assist in resolving technical issues as part of Production Support /
Sustaining. Support Integrated Product Team leader on development projects. Consult with internal customers
and suppliers to document source system information, collaborate on requirements definition, and support all
phases of testing. Support and participate in activities necessary to negotiate and document source system
