MCD develops and produces the world's highest performance signal generators and signal analyzers. You'll be part of a team that designs, prototypes and tests new products. To create a complete solution and make it available to customers, most projects are the collaborative work of engineers from diverse areas of expertise: electrical engineers in many disciplines, mechanical engineers, software engineers, as well as process and manufacturing engineers. As part of these projects, you will also work with our manufacturing, purchasing and marketing departments to transform your designs into shipping products. Many projects involve design partners and/or sources of technology from worldwide partners. If you're up to the challenge, join our high caliber team. Some Electrical Engineers with FPGA designs skills at our site work on very high frequency and high bandwidth digital/analog/RF PC board designs, FPGA programming design and/or software control design. An example would be a high speed baseband digital modulation circuits realized in FPGAs for a flexible signal source of emerging communications signals


-Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent with design content in FPGA design and realization -Strong knowledge of FPGA and high speed digital circuit design with emphasis on DSP techniques. Ability to use FPGA simulation and design tools to realize high quality and robust realizations in VHDL. -The ability and desire to work on rapid paced projects with several design tasks. In addition to general FPGA design and realization skills, we're also looking for someone with skills and interest in one or more of the areas listed below: -The ability to design, model, analyze and realize complex DSP, data flow and state machine control functions in FPGAs. -The ability to design, analyze and realize high-speed digital circuit design on PC board, including the use of DSP processors, memory and data flow systems. -The ability to design, analyze and realize RF and analog circuits in high performance synthesizers. -A working knowledge of digital signal processing functions, particularly those related to digital modulation and demodulation. -The ability to work in a global, multi-disciplined, cross-department environment. Desired Qualifications Skill or experience in the following areas would be a plus, but aren't required. -In depth knowledge of analog and digital IF downconversion /upconversion and signal processing chains in sources or vector signal analyzers. Understanding of performance requirements and design considerations of signal source subsystems and/or spectrum analyzer digital IF's. -Knowledge of measurement techniques and considerations in the wireless market, with emphasis on modulation and demodulation techniques. -The ability to use CAD tools for design of mixed-signal PC boards. Examples include PSPICE, FPGA design & realization tools or Mentor Expedition. Experience with digital programmable logic design using VHDL or Verilog. -Experience with embedded software programming, as demonstrated by developing and debugging code that controls hardware directly. Examples of programming languages include microcontroller assembly, and C++. -Experience with commercial software to control hardware systems. Examples of software packages include Visual Basic, VEE or Lab View.. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to work with a diverse global team from many cultures.
