Job Description

Facebook is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to identify, build and configure security systems to protect the Facebook infrastructure. Successful candidates for this job enjoy building security tools that enable our employees to change the world in a secure environment. You will work with members of IT, Operations, and Security teams to harden the infrastructure against attacks. This position is full-time and located in Menlo Park or London.
Responsibilities Design and develop systems and tools to secure the company against attacks/abuse
Work across Product Security, Computer Emergency Response, Information Security and Electronic Crime teams to solve critical security problems
Write tools to monitor our network for security incidents
Automate investigation of online criminal behavior

Requirements Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years relevant experience
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Strong programming background in Linux, Windows, and Macintosh
Knowledge of Network and Internet Architecture
Knowledge developing and debugging C/C++ and Java on *nix
Knowledge of PHP, Bash, Perl, or Python
Knowledge of relational databases and distributed systems (Hive/Hadoop) is a plus
