Job Description

Marin Software, MRIN, is seeking a confident, prolific and outgoing Quantitative Marketing Research
Analyst.

In this newly created role, you will explore the newest trends in digital marketing and analyze data from
the world's largest and most sophisticated advertisers. Find interesting trends in large data sets and
create reports that establish benchmarks for the online advertising industry. Design and implement
research campaigns leveraging our impressive global marketing data index as well as manage third party
research programs.

You'll analyze performance metrics and use the insights you gain to write, pitch and design reports that drive global awareness of Marin. You'll work cooperatively with the entire Marin organization to solve complex platform and marketing challenges in a friendly, professional and super-smart environment.

Reporting to the Director of Research, you'll produce data reports in a prolific manner, and design, implement and manage third party reports with outside research vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret analysis and identify trends and implications through hypothesis generation
  • Prepare analysis, charts, and tables with observations and insights in support of a clear point
  • of view
  • Contextualize data trends into major storylines
  • Manage tools and processes to enable efficient and consistent analysis on an ongoing basis
  • Proactively identify key analytics and appropriate data handling approaches (e.g., weighting)

Who You Are:
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • You're comfortable presenting your findings and recommendations to others, able to make a strong case while remaining receptive to feedback
  • You have a demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of the digital advertising landscape, specifically search marketing data, a big plus
  • You have a Bachelor's in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Marketing
  • You have the attitude and self-motivation to thrive in a dynamic culture
  • You have a working knowledge of SQL or statistical packages like SAS, SPSS, or R
