UW Medicine Strategic Marketing & Communications has an outstanding opportunity for a Web Project Manager. Reporting to the director of Digital Marketing, this individual will be responsible for managing project requests into the digital marketing team, establishing business priority, helping define the project scope and managing the schedule throughout the project lifecycle. The Web Project Manager develop and maintain good project communication and process mechanisms to ensure that projects are kept on track. Help identify and coordinate stakeholder schedules, write and/or advise on project charters, send project status reports and give project updates to the greater Strategic Marketing & Communications team. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented with deep experience in managing multiple projects, across highly-matrixed teams in the software or online marketing space. This person should have a strong passion for web-based and mobile applications as well as a good understanding of the digital advertising industry.
Meet with clients and web program managers to determine business requirements, scope, and schedule for large content updates and new digital projects.
Develop project request forms and work back schedules for use by Strategic Marketing & Communications and key project stakeholders.
Assess project resource utilization and work with digital marketing director to optimize as necessary.
Keep web program managers, interns, and project participants on track through ongoing communications and deliverable management.
Monitor and control quality of project deliverables through use of appropriate tollgates and sign-off mechanisms.
Maintain a high level overview of all digital projects and serve as a business manager for the digital marketing team.
Work with digital marketing director to monitor, maintain budget for online marketing tactics and related vendor costs.
Coordinate and manage all digital marketing related subscriptions and services for Strategic Marketing & Communications (e.g. domain renewals, social media tools).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, information management, or related field AND at least 5-7 years of web project management experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Familiarity with online advertising industry. Expert in online collaboration tools (i.e. Adobe Connect, Lync, Skype). Ability to create visually compelling slides and charts for senior audiences. Ability to communicate with IT and business stakeholders. Ability to operate independently and accomplish complex initiatives. Demonstrated a high attention to detail. Strong project management or program management skills. Experience with agile project management a plus. Experience presenting in front of large groups and mid-level to senior managers. Knowledge of software development or web site development lifecycle. Experience with web/design technologies (HTML, Flash, Photoshop. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
PMP® or CAPM® certified. Healthcare industry experience a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
