Position Summary:

The Mobile Software Engineer (Windows 8 Metro Specialist) is responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, developing new and/or porting of consumer facing iOS mobile applications to Windows 8 Metro using C/C++/C# and XAML. The Mobile Software Engineer has experience developing Windows 7 applications and is familiar with Windows 8 Metro and Visual Studio 11

To be considered seriously, you will also have:

Developed code using C++/C#, XAML using Visual Studio 11 for Windows 8 Metro devices

Built and deployed commercial Windows Mobile applications with web service backends

Be conversant in the Windows Mobile 8 platform and APIs

A firm grasp of multi-threading, database contention, and object-oriented design.

Experience with user-centered interaction design

Work independently to do requirements analysis, design, prototyping, development, unit testing and implementation

Work both as a team as well as an individual to meet goals

Prototype features quickly to help the business team think through and fine-tune requirements.

Troubleshoot problems with existing products

A relevant B.Sc./B.A. degree.

Extra credit if you have experience with Ruby on Rails as well.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in C++/C# software application development

Minimum of 3 year of experience in Windows development using Visual Studio

Experience using a source code repository (team foundation server and/or SVN)

Read and understand iOS/Objective-C to aid in porting existing applications

Preferred:

Experience in front end web languages (HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript)

Familiarity with Windows 8 Metro, WinRT and the Metro Application Model.
