Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for software development, maintenance, and quality activities under the supervision of engagement leaders. Start your career in our National Delivery Center, located in Minneapolis, MN, and graduate in 2-3 years to your choice of one of our six regional consulting offices located in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Irvine, Minneapolis, or San Francisco.
An Associate Developer is responsible for performing basic programming activities for clients. This includes activities such as requirements reviews, design reviews, estimating work, programming to specifications and guidelines, unit testing, and daily status reporting. Associate Developers work closely with other team members and Magenic project leaders to understand the work that needs to be accomplished and the standards and guidelines that need to be followed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop simple to intermediate code for new and existing applications according to provided specifications
Complete assignments in a timely and accurate fashion
Review and understand detailed business, functional, and technical requirements
Debug and repair simple to intermediate defects
Present designs and code for review
Plan, create, and execute unit tests
Prepare and package code for deployment to production environments
Provide production support for simple to intermediate incidents
Accurately document code, unit tests, and other assigned work

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Attend Lunch and Learn and Tech-Night training sessions
Pass two Microsoft certification exams
Complete time sheets as required
Complete status reports as required
Assist with group activities (summer picnic, game nights, etc.)

Qualifications - Education & Experience

Associate's/Bachelor's degree or higher in computer or business related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, etc.)
0-2 years of related work experience
Or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Read/Write English at a collegiate level without difficulty

Object oriented programming
Web-based application development
Windows-based application development
HTML and XML
SQL
Windows operating system
Microsoft Office suite
