We are looking
for an outstanding Android developer: someone with a deep interest in Java
& Android development. We need a top tier developer who brings not only a
deep understanding of Android but is grounded with a solid theoretical foundation
in computer science with a broad knowledge of algorithms, data structures &
concurrency. This resource will advance our Android expertise by designing,
implementing and testing mobile applications for the online photo merchandising
While collaboration and being a team
player is a key to success in this role, the bulk of the time will be spent autonomously
developing applications. There will be an emphasis on apps that recreate
existing web experiences.
Collaborate with the Product Manager, Designers,
Engineers, Technical Writers & QA.
Develop & own the UI and application logic for an
application in the photo merchandising market.
Assist with estimating, planning, executing and
monitoring quality of the project.
for the best practices in Android programming,
How best to leverage native capabilities,
How to handle device fragmentation
Recommend process improvements and toolsets to make
developers more effective and efficient.
Leverage platform specific frameworks where needed.
Perform quality reviews on code.
Knowledge of object oriented programming & design
Have knowledge of core areas of Android programming such as memory
management, asynchronous programming,
Exposure to web architectures and familiarity with
Knowledge of REST/JSON/XML.
Energetic, inspired, dedicated, passionate about
Ability and willingness to learn the existing system
quickly and with little top down management.
A great team player, sociable, with excellent
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
