Software Programmer III
JavaScript, C# and .Net Framework

David Evans and Associates is currently seeking a Software Programmer III to join our project team with our client in Portland, OR. This position will develop and support commercial applications. The candidate must be a self-motivated, team player with strong interpersonal communication skills and able to interface with the customers to understand their processes and requirements and be able to translate a set of requirements into computer source code using the software tools provided on a Windows platform.

Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop and support BPA's commercial applications. Interface with the customers to understand their processes and requirements and be able to translate a set of requirements into computer source code using the software tools provided on a Windows platform. Produce technical documentation and articulate technical information with both functional and technical team members to facilitate knowledge transfer. Function as a team member in performing project application design and development tasks. Perform analysis, design, development, and testing project tasks, and analysis and resolution of maintenance issues. Function as a team member in performing project application design and development tasks. Create professional web application layouts that are consistent, intuitive, and easy to use. Perform design, programming and testing tasks from the project plan to the same level of quality as fellow team members. Coordinate, report status on the design, development and testing of new custom software system. Design and develop thorough unit tests. Distinguish key interactions and dependencies among enterprise applications. Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings. Enhance and fix bugs in existing business applications.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements:
Education/Experience:
10+ years of experience - Computer Technology is required. Undergraduate, Graduate or Post-Graduate College Degree - Computer Technology or related field. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is preferred. 10+ years of demonstrated applications design & development experience with at least 5 years in ASP .NET programming using Microsoft Visual C#, and Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or greater) or Oracle (9i or greater) is required Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 Suite of products is required. Expert knowledge of ASP .NET, C#, and JavaScript. Proficient in ASP, HTML, CSS, and XML. Proficient in Microsoft Team Foundation Server is required. Proficient in MS Visual Studio 2008 or greater is required. Experienced in usability standards and guidelines, development of business logic, and data access layers using C#, ASP .NET, JavaScript and SQL server programming is required. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application and database problems in applications written in ASP.NET and C# using SQL data is required.
General Requirements :
Experience performing analysis, design, development, and testing project tasks, and analysis and resolution of maintenance issues. Proficient in graphical user interface design & usability. Technical documentation and communication skills sufficient to perform knowledge transfer to fellow programmers once the application is completed and deployed to production. Proficient in developing well-tuned, complex SQL and stored procedures for Oracle or SQL Server. Strong in oral and written communications. The following requirements are desirable: Knowledge of the utility industry. Experience with custom .NET web development. Knowledge of system performance and tuning. Experience with a version control system, preferably Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS). Experience with Crystal Reports XI or 2008. Knowledge of database design and modeling. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience with all phases of Systems Development Life Cycle including maintenance.
