Job Description

Position Description:
The Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Center (MSA) within the Systems Design & Performance (SD&P) directorate has the responsibility to provide, develop, and maintain performance and Operations Research simulations for all Raytheon Missiles Systems (RMS) products, support new business initiatives and development and execution of technology roadmaps. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of concept of operations, mission planning, weapon test bed development and analysis, and development of high fidelity performance simulations, which include scene generation capability in multiple sensor channels, and system performance analysis including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation.
Job Description:
Entry level engineer with education or research experience in the development and use of 6DOF and high fidelity simulations for the purposes of supporting new business, missile system design, performance assessment and flight test support.
The individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions to support trade studies and program simulations, ensuring it performs as intended.
The individual is expected to work in a team environment, receiving inputs from his/her lead and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members. He/she will be expected to work on diverse projects and independently determine and develop approaches and solutions. The individual will be required to provide development support throughout product lifecycle, from initial concept to a fielded product.
The individual will work with GNC, signal processing and performance analysis personnel to perform simulation activities according to the program schedule.
Required Experience & Skills:

Proficient in the use of C/C++

Good skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, experience in the use of UNIX/Linux based workstations and mathematical tools, such as MATLAB.

Good analysis and problem solving skills

Good written and oral communication skills

Needs to work well in teams and have the ability to multi-task

Knowledge of physics, random variables and its application to modeling and analysis

Familiarity and knowledge of system engineering and analysis

Prior experience interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines

Frequent communication and interaction with government counterpart
Desired Skills:

Proficiency in Linux or Unix

Knowledge of Software Configuration Management tools

Experience developing embedded software for missile application

Working knowledge of GP/GPU technologies and parallel processing

Course work or experience in the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, estimation theory and/or electro optics

Possess current Secret Clearance
Degree Requirements:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Math or related fields required from an ABET accredited curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
