Job Description

In this position you will join the team responsible for the security architecture of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The team works at a system level spanning both hardware and software and strives for industry-leading solutions. The team interacts with product management, customers (e.g., OEMs), partners and the HW/SW engineering teams implementing the solutions.

Snapdragon processors are used in a different types of devices ranging from mobile phones to televisions to ultra book laptops, each of which have their own security requirements. Snapdragon processors are designed to meet most of these requirements thus work covers most types of security found in consumer electronics ranging from content protection to enterprise security to factory key provisioning issues to virtualization.

In this position you will perform tasks like these:
Creating a HW/SW design to integrate security solutions from industry leading security providers into the Snapdragon processor
Creating a design to meet content protection requirements from a television vendor
Analyzing the security of an existing system for weaknesses
Competitive analysis of a particular security feature
High level design of security HW such as that to protect and perform operations with key material

The candidate should have knowledge and experience in several of these areas.
Threat analysis, security analysis, risk analysis
Cryptography and protocols using cryptography
Broad knowledge of security systems and protocols (SSL, DRM, Code signing system)
ARM TrustZone, Virtualization and operating system security applied to complex multi CPU SoCs
Design of HW security blocks such as HW cryptographic engines
Embedded SW and SW architecture
All types of content protection including DRM, IPTV and cable and satellite TV

Excellent communication and teamwork skills highly desirable with leaderships skills a plus.

A masters degree and 5-10 years experience is much preferred but exceptional new grads will be considered.

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
