Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Coursework in computer science
* Understanding of Objective-C principles and its runtime specifically: Object lifecycle; Memory management (before and after ARC); Initializers, and designated initializers; and Properties
* Familiarity with commonly used design patterns and their Cocoa Touch and Foundation Kit implementations such as UIViewController
* Understanding of Cocoa Touch and other iOS frameworks such as Quartz
* Proficiency with Xcode and the build process, Interface Builder
* Proficiency with Instruments tools

PREFERRED:
* Experience with CoreData and KVO
* Experience with Git
* Experience with Scrum and Agile development
* Knowledge of Vernier Software and Technology sensors, interfaces, software, and curricula

JOB DUTIES:
* Design, modifie, develop, write, and implement software programming applications
* Participate in Software Development department meetings
* Document all work to ensure that subsequent users can diagnose and fix any problems that might arise in a system, as well perform any maintenance
* Review objectives and assignment details with higher level staff to insure thorough understanding
* Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional working relationships with all internal and external customers
* Work under immediate supervision, often according to clear-cut and complete specifications; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
