SLT Dev Position- (Co-op)DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:Provide software flow development for the system level testing of AMD microprocessors in a system test environmentSPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Development, debug, and validation of new software flows and custom diagnostics on system level test platforms2. Development and implementation of package test programs, supporting hardware, yield improvement, and cost reduction3. Support software development, integration, validation, and debug of existing and new microprocessor products4. Support product improvement activities, including cost reduction, yield improvement, and resolving quality/customer test related issuesREQUIRED SKILLS:1. Interest in working in a team environment on software used to test cutting edge computer systems and microprocessors2. Courses in software development in C/C++, Assembly Language, or JAVA 3. Courses in Digital Logic, Device Physics, or basic Circuit TheoryPREFERRED SKILLS:1. Understanding of basic CPU architecture2. Familiar with building computer systems (desktops, laptops, servers, etc)3. Familiar with using logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc.4. Familiar with AGILE and/or LEAN software development processes5. Familiar with Ruby, Perl, or other scripting languagesPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Currently enrolled in technology related Masters degree or a technology related Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD degree program.
