Job Description

Acting under general managerial direction is the top-level technical contributor or project architect in one or more highly specialized technical phases of application system analysis and programming. Is responsible for the technical and planning aspects of a major project or the planning and control, especially those requiring coordination across functional lines.
Under general managerial direction, provides production and application support for the most complex and mission critical problems. Will provide expert advice and counsel to functional/user area management.

Designs major business systems, integrating new applications or significant enhancements to existing software.
Confers with systems users to enhance their requirements to achieve greater efficiency, systems integration or cost reduction.
Provides on-site support for highly complex problem resolution crossing all systems within the organization.
Provides direction for structure of application program and system documentation.
Acts as a Technical Team Leader on complex projects.
Provides consultative direction to application and systems programmers and computer operations in the planning and scheduling of systems projects, which cross functional lines or are of a most complex nature.
Additional Responsibilities Specific to this Position:

Full technical knowledge of business applications.
Highest leadership role in the development of programming staff and technical leads, instructing, assigning, directing, and checking the work of other software developers on assigned development teams.
Responsible for coordinating technical projects and other technical leads within Information Technology.
Participants with business unit to develop strategic technological initiatives.
Provides expertise in best practice of application technologies.
Determines all cost/benefit analysis on proposed initiatives.
Maintains corporate standards for deploying technology and works with senior management in strategic planning.
College degree in related field and two year degree in programming or equivalent work experience.
10 years of experience in all aspects of programming/analysis with demonstrated mastery of all phases of system technology and functional/user area operations
5 years project management experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications

MIS degree in Computer Science.
Additional training in advanced technological coursework.
Five or more years in major project/program architecture and design.
Two or more years as Technical Team Leader on major projects.
Advanced training in project management, industrial certification
Primary leadership role in deployment of significant strategic technologies
