Job Description

Position Description

Factory Automation IT programmer/analyst defines and validates requirements for robotic (primary focus) and Numerical Control (NC) (secondary focus) computing applications that are used to program aircraft parts. Parts are fabricated and assembled by new and revised manufacturing machinery at Boeing commercial and military manufacturing sites. Research, analyze, design, develop, test, document, maintain and provide user support for manufacturing computing applications. Develops and deploys new or revised processes in support of new computing applications. Troubleshoots user problems related to manufacturing hardware, networks, applications or processes. Facilitates integration of new technologies (i.e. robotic programming) to support evolving business requirements. Supports activities with internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers (software vendors, sub contractors). Assess product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance. Interface effectively with other Boeing organizations (i.e. Research & Development, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, NC Machine Programming, Shopfloor staff).

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you currently, or will you by June 2013, meet the criteria described in the 'Typical Education / Experience' section of this requisition?

Typical Education/Experience

Level 1 - Technical bachelor's degree. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Level 2 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:
+Self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills
+Ability to complete a technical project independently
+Excellent communication skills
+Experience in software development for manufacturing applications
+Working knowledge of robotic programming & industrial robotics setup
+Some knowledge of CNC programming / machines (metal & composite)
+Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools (CATIA, Mastercam)

A PLUS TO HAVE SKILLS:
+Kuka, ABB, Fanuc robot programming knowledge
+Experience programming with Visual Studio .NET
+CENIT Fastip, Fastcurve, Fastsurf programming knowledge
+Dassault V5 Robotics programming knowledge
+ABB Robot Studio programming knowledge
+Vericut simulation tool programming knowledge
