Job Description

Four-year university students who are working in a technical internship role at HP during their study or in summer breaks between university semesters while pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.

Job Description
Firmware interns work in project teams supporting the delivery and documentation of new products supporting engineers in multi-discipline teams working on new products and solutions. You'll be part of a team that designs, develops, and validates embedded microprocessor firmware components for HP inkjet printers. You will also assist with the scoping of firmware tasks and resource requirements. As a team member, you will assist with investigations and interactions with other engineering teams that are providing other components for the product. You will work with other engineers , assist in the integration, evaluation, and testing of product firmware.

This is an Internship opportunity.

The successful candidate WILL be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have the following

Education and Experience Required:
High School Degree. Second Year of University completed and currently be pursuing a Computer Science and/or
Computer Engineering bachelor's degree.

You should have excellent technical skills.
You should have strong communications skills - effective interpersonal and teamwork skills in a large, diverse environment.
Fluency in English language, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to be flexible.
Strong technical skills including: initiative, programming skills, analytical skills and effective problem solving ability, software/firmware development and de-bugging skills, and the ability to research technical issues and generate creative/
innovative solutions.
Solid record of past work experience and/or participation in meaningful extra-curricular activities
Good teamwork skills and an ability to learn quickly.
Ability to work independently.
