ALSTOM Grid – Network Management Solutions, the leader in providing software and services to the Electric Utility Industry has an opening for a Software Engineer Intern in its Redmond, WA location.

This position is responsible for:
· Developing a comprehensive suite of soapUI tests in order to help improve the overall quality and reliability of our Hourly Market Project. Additionally, the intern will be responsible for exposing quality and performance issues early in the software development cycle to reduce costs to the project.
· Developing automated testing scripts using the open source soapUI toolkit.
· Creating unit tests where coverage does not already exist.
· Utilizing code analysis tools to identify bugs and present solutions.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

General Qualifications:
· Technical aptitude for using third-party software that has limited documentation.
· Ability to understand business processes by reading Alstom and customer production documentation.
· Experience with least 3 of the following skills: Java, Soap-based Web Services, XML, Eclipse, Groovy (preferred), Maven, Linux, SOAPUI/LoadUI and/or operating system scripting.
· Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
