Job Description

Qualcomm's location technology enables manufacturers to create a wide range of value-added services and applications for consumer and enterprise use, and has been deployed in more than 1 billion handsets and mobile devices. In order to help drive our next phase of growth in location technologies, we are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our position location systems/algorithms team
Candidate will be responsible for designing, defining, verifying and integrating physical layer requirements for support of new GNSS signals (e.g., modernized GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Compass, QZSS, etc.). Candidate will also contribute to advanced topics, such as multi-path mitigation, real-time kinematics (RTK), analysis of high availability or low power alternative (non-GPS) location technologies. Candidate responsible for simulations to evaluate or optimize GPS system performance or to verify GPS hardware/software. Focus on developing state-of-the art, competitive commercial positioning solutions and contributing to a strong IP portfolio.
An ideal candidate has 2-4 years industry experience in related work areas. New graduates with strong academic work in location / GNSS technologies will also be considered.
- Candidate should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a dedicated project team and independently is essential.

Required: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Doctorate, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
