TECHNOLOGY PM - ORGANIZATIONAL TEST MANAGERReq #: 82468Department: HIM ADMINJob Location: Harborview Medical CenterJob Location Detail: Pat Steel Building Posting Date: 03/05/2012 Closing Info: Open Until Filled Salary: Salary is commensurate with education and experience TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER -ORGANIZATIONAL TEST MANAGERREPORTS TO: Sr. IT Project Manager, ICD-10Position Purpose: The emphasis of this position is to manage the testing activities for several work-streams for the ICD-10 program.Under the general guidance of the ICD-10 Sr. Project Manager, theOrganizational Test Managerwill develop and implement the ICD-10 Testing Strategy against a complex and diverse set of changes to systems, interfaces, data stores, business processes, external vendor and trading partner system and processes. All job responsibilities will be performed to support and further the mission of patient care, research and teaching. Testing functions will be performed in collaboration with the vendors, end-users; applications and operations support staff as leader of a cross functional test team for the project assigned. MANAGE TEST PLAN AND STRATEGY:. Develop an understanding of the internal and external testing requirements for ICD-10. . Review project documentation with a focus on testing.. Responsible for ICD-10 testing work plans, resource plans, and all other testing-related deliverables.ACTIVELY MANAGE TESTING ACTIVITIES:. Communicate test plans and strategy to test personnel.. Identify testing resources. Schedule and plan testing activities.. Work with operations staff to set up and coordinate test environment.. Coordinate ICD-10 test data across the organization. . Maintain and communicate test schedule to test personnel.. Review test results and report defects.. Compile testing deliverables and obtain sign-off from project manager and sponsors at the conclusion of a testing evolution.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:. This position will include the regular functional supervision of Organizational Testing Coordinator(s).. Coach and mentor direct and non-direct reports.OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:Other duties, as assigned by the ICD-10 Sr. Project Manager, but are not limited to the following:. Advise and assist with testing related issues or problems.. Maintain Testing information on the SharePoint project site.. Assist with leading the process to identify and obtain an automated ICD-10 testing solution.ADHERE TO WORKING STANDARDS OF UW MEDICINE AND ICD-10 POJRECT OFFICE:. Observe standard core onsite working hours, Time Tracking Policy, and absence notification standards.. Observe professionalism standards including dress and punctuality.. Follow organizational norms with respect to e-mail, distributions, pagers, and cell phones.. Provide regular status reports to Manager/Lead.. Attend team and departmental meetings as appropriate.. Strong working knowledge of the testing lifecycle.. Minimum of five years IT experience including at least three years in a large-scale application test lead role.. Extensive experience testing within a vendor-packaged software environment.. Experience working with one or more automated software testing applications.. Ability work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities. . Excellent interpersonal skills including superior oral and written communications. . An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.Desired:. Experience in a large complex healthcare or academic healthcare setting preferred.. HIPAA 5010 testing experience.. Experience with EMRs.. Programming and scripting skills.. Working knowledge of HP Quality Center.. Experience serving in a project lead or project management role for software application implementation projects.
