Job Description

NYU Langone Medical Center -- world-class patient-centered integrated academic medical center -- one of the nation's premier centers for excellence in health care, biomedical research, and medical education located in the heart of New York City.

We are hiring IT professionals

This position will support the rollout of the Kronos Workforce Central system across the Medical Center, and provide production support to the existing users of the system in HR, Payroll and end user departments. The analyst will work closely with the HR, Payroll, departmental end users, IT staff, consultants and Kronos to perform their duties. Knowledge required includes an understanding of time reporting, staff scheduling and payroll processing; understanding of the Kronos Workforce Central application and Terminals; familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM or other HR/Payroll application. Skills required include business process analysis; clear and concise communication; ability to collect user requirements and configure the application; ability to design and execute system tests.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Conduct requirements validation and analysis meetings with the business stakeholders
  • Document business requirements
  • Perform Fit/Gap analysis against Kronos delivered capability
  • Present viable alternatives for addressing gaps in functionality
  • Develop functional design documents based on analysis of business and user needs
  • Develop and maintain functional configurations using Kronos
  • Develop and modify pay rules
  • Develop reports
  • Analyze and implement patches and updates 
  • Support testing activities
  • Produce deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assist in post implementation support and system enhancements
  • Support integrations with other systems, including PeopleSoft HCM, EPIC and Active Directory
  • Configure and support Kronos Terminals


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 to 4 years of professional level work with time, attendance and scheduling systems. Two years of experience with Kronos Workforce Central version 6.
  • Knowledge of Time and Attendance, Staff Scheduling, Payroll and HR business processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, and be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Customer focused perspective

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in PeopleSoft Kronos Workforce Central version 6
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM
  • Proficiency of relational data base reporting tools
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced team environment
