Position
Opening for a highly motivated Embedded Systems Engineer with advanced level of RTOS Embedded Systems Firmware development. Experienced in C/C++ and Assembler programming, Embedded Systems Real Time Operating Systems knowledge, and Linux kernel/device drivers.
 
Job Description
Working with the Embedded System team developing Bio Technology Embedded Systems Instruments.   Products include Genetic Sequencers, Analyzers, Real Time and Digital PCR, Thermal Cyclers, and Electrophoresis Devices.   Life Technologies, Corp products are used to sequence the human genome, Forensic Science, detection and identification of bacteria and virus organisms, along with the future of Personal Medicine.

Instruments run on Linux, Commercial RTOS, and proprietary bare metal OS.   Instrument processors include Intel, ARM, and Freescale DSP processors.   Latest development has both an iMX53 and an MC56F8367.   CAN BUS, SPI, I2C, Ethernet Communication Interfaces Drivers, Touch Screen User Interfaces, and DSP temperature and motion control firmware development.

Requirements


  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5 years of embedded systems experience
  •  Biotech Instrument Development Experience.
  •  Embedded Programming Experience ARM/Intel Processors.
  •  Linux Kernel, Boot Loaders, and Drivers Development.
  •  Interfaces CAN, SPI, I2C Driver Development.
  •  Coding in C/C++, Python, and assembler.
  •  Board Support Package porting.
  •  GDB, JTAG, ICE Debugging.
  •  Ability to read Electronic schematics.
  •  Use of Oscilloscope.
  •  Python Programming a plus.
