eCommerce Associate Developer
Life Technologies is seeking a java web developer with at least 5 years of experience.
The position is located in our Carlsbad, CA office.
The successful candidate will have background working with integrated development environments such as Eclipse and detailed knowledge of the Java programming language.
At least 4 - 5 years of experience with Java web application development and related web development frameworks. Knowledge in eCommerce, Content Management and search is highly desired.
4 - 5 years of web development experience in J2EE for enterprise organization Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field Experience with Struts, or similar MVC framework Experience in implementing and maintaining Sterling MCS (7.2 to 8.x) with major emphasis on C3 Configurator, C3 Commerce Manager, C3 Pricing, C3 Quotes, C3 Order Management, C3 Catalog, C3 Partner Management, C3 Profile Management and various Procurement (B2B Integration) systems or at least 4 years of development experience in JEE framework for enterprise ecommerce systems.
Design driven development and good Object Oriented programming concepts is preferred.
Working Knowledge of Oracle 10g and above (PL-SQL). Experience in working with WebLogic 10.3.x, Tomcat 5.5.x or later.
Working knowledge of Eclipse IDE 3.x version.
Experience with JDK 1.5 and 1.6 features.
Knowledge of Servlet 2.3 specifications or later.
Commanding knowledge of HTML and JS.
Knowledge of JS framework like JQuery a plus.
Experience in one or more version control tools, defect tracking tools and build management tool a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to communicate with internal customers in a non-technical manner. Must be able to work effectively as a member of a Team and in a matrix reporting environment.
Must be able to work with and effectively communicate (listen, speak, present and write) to all levels of management and build working relationship with others outside of the Team.
Ability to organize, disseminate information efficiently and set expectations. Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management skills, prioritization abilities and take ownership of issues and task.
Ability to work as a team member and contribute to the overall success of a team as well as work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Must be self confident, assertive and self-motivated.
Coursework or background in eCommerce , Search or Content Management Prior work experience involving programming or Java development
Works in an office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
