Responsible for administration and support of UTi's enterprise content management (ECM) system called DMS, or Document Management System. DMS is built on an EMC2 Captiva/Documentum application stack, running on a Windows VMware platform. This position will be responsible for all aspects of supporting the DEV, QC, and multiple PRODUCTION environments, currently located in three global data centers. The EIT organization is working to fully integrate DMS with key business component systems, including the 1View Freight Forwarding system, Oracle Financials, corporate Intranet and Internet sites, as well as HR, Claims, QMS, and Legal systems. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide application and infrastructure support in applying service packs, upgrades and system monitoring. Maintain appropriate and standard levels of technical and procedural documentation. Adhere to appropriate departmental procedures and practices, such as auditing requirements, control procedures, and incident and change management procedures. Conduct platform monitoring and performance tuning. Take responsibility for capacity management and platform scaling. Work in partnership with other departments/business units as required, ensuring correct exchange of knowledge and successful transition of enhancements from development through to production environments. Work closely with the internal Business Analysts, across the enterprise, to properly configure and modify Documentum and Captiva components in a changing business environment. Participate in process analysis, process design, and process/software gap analysis. Open, manage, and resolve Documentum/Captiva service requests (SRs) with EMC2 Support. Manage and resolve elevated service tickets for internal customers. Drive the resolution & troubleshooting of issues during development and post production support. Participate in the streamlining of internal processes, procedures, and standards as related to the support and maintenance of the EMC2 Documentum and Captiva applications. Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 1 3 years experience with Documentum & Captiva in a support and maintenance role. Prior experience working on both Documentum and Captiva application configuration and implementation projects. Good working knowledge of Documentum Administrator (DA) and Documentum Query Language (DQL). Advanced knowledge and understanding of information processing principles and practices with regards to enterprise content management. 1 3 years experience with core MS Windows VMware and Windows Domain Server. Technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems with emphasis on Microsoft Windows. Standard Application/Infrastructure Development Lifecycle knowledge.
