PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The successful Intern will create a HTO Quality Control website using gSites.

Activities in creating the HTO Quality Control website include:

* Facilitating meetings with QC personnel to determine the relevant information/data to include on the site

* Drafting an initial outline of the website

* Training QC personnel on how to make changes to the website

* Create the website using gSites

* Facilitate meetings with QC personnel to fine tune information/data on the website

* Present a project summary to HTO QC during a staff meeting

In addition to the project activities, the successful Intern will be expected to participate in routine housekeeping activities and lab/equipment maintenance, such as, stocking lab supplies, disposing lab waste, cleaning lab refrigerators, biosafety cabinets and incubators, filing paperwork, and maintaining labs in an audit ready state.

This opportunity will enable the candidate to gain a general understanding of how a quality control (QC) laboratory for a larger biotech company operates. These projects are important to the basic operation of a QC lab and will provide an understanding of the cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Principles) that are regulated by the FDA.
Who you are
WHO YOU ARE:

* B.S./B.A. degree in progress in a relevant computer science discipline

* Basic knowledge of scientific theories and principles used in analytical or biological test procedures

* Detail oriented with a passion for perfection

* Ability to exercise sound judgment, reasoning and problem solving

* Capable of completing assigned responsibilities and keeping manager informed of status

* Highly motivated and self-driven with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration

* Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills are a must

* Experience using basic web design software

* Work in a laboratory environment and be able to lift up to 25lbs

* Sit, stand and move within work space for extended periods
