Job Description

Are you ready to begin your professional career as an engineer within IDS' Engineering Directorate?  Our Mission Capability Verification Center is searching for a new college graduate to join the Patriot team at White Sands Missile Range, NM and support the mission test operations and design, development and analysis activities.    Our engineering organization uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon Six Sigma principles. Job Description: Our new college graduate engineer will be responsible for assisting with and providing support mission operations at WSMR and other locations to include coordination, system performance analysis and setup of tactical equipment such as launchers.   You will design and develop non-tactical test equipment hardware utilizing computer aided design tools.  Update existing utilities and real-time test hardware to include digital telemetry equipment and other non-tactical test equipment.   Assist with real-time software development and test operations for UNIX and/or Microsoft Windows platforms.  In addition, you will work across disciplines and provide ad hoc assistance to support program requirements as needed.   Do you have these Basic Qualifications and Required Education? Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related Engineering discipline   * Knowledge of AutoCAD, ProEngineer or similar Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. * Knowledge of industry standard test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers in support of engineering assessments, corrective actions and modifications.   Desired Qualifications:  * GPA of 3.0 highly desired * Working knowledge of C or C++ programming language and software design processes in a UNIX or MS Windows environment. * Knowledge of digital and analog design logic and implementation in Programmable Logic Devices (PLD) from Xilinx, Altera or similar products. * Ability to analyze,  conduct problem solving, multi-task and meet deadlines working in a team environment across multiple disciplines.  * Ability to lift and carry 25+ lbs. * Existing secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance within 30 days.Other Requirements:  * Work long hours and/or the weekends and travel to various locations, and remote sites to support program requirements. * Work outdoors  under various weather conditions. * Work in remote and hazardous locations with energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance.
