Job Description

Our Maryland Cyber Intern Program matches interested and motivated students with our companies top securtiy researchers for the summer to develop our next generations of technology.  This program incorporates a set of structured, experiential learning modules with advanced topics directed by our lead engineers.  The tools and software developed during this summer program will be used to drive the direction of execution on current and future programs. 

As a Computer Engineering Student Intern, the candidate will support engineering activities developing and using tools to identify security flaws in software that has a direct impact on national security.  Tool development will be done in a mix of C/C++ and Python.  These tools will help provide insight into the nature of running programs and systems.   

Candidates must be professional, a self-starter and possess a positive attitude. It is important that the candidate has a willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and be willing to engage with the staff. 
Required Experience:

* Familiarity working with debuggers and disassemblers.
* Familiarity with assembly programming.
* Familiarity with C/C++ programming.
Desired Background:

* Familiarity with malware analysis
* Familiarity with vulnerability analysis
* Familiarity with cryptographic systems
* Familiarity with networking protocols
* Familiarity working in virtualized and sandbox environments
Desired Experience:

* Class work in opperating system design
* Class work in compiler design
* Class work in processor architectures
* Ability to work both in a team environment and perform independant research
Required Education:
Candidate working towards a Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
This position requires the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
