Leadership


Roberto Angulo

CEO and Co-Founder

A native of Sonora, Mexico, Roberto founded AfterCollege at Stanford University, where he obtained his B.A. degree in Economics. Roberto works with the AfterCollege management team and the company’s board to craft the company’s vision and ensures that everyone works to execute that vision, which consists of helping every college student and grad find that first job or internship. Roberto has collaborated with President Obama’s Administration on various initiatives, including the launch of Summer Jobs+, which successfully created more summer opportunities for youth of ages 16-24. He also worked with Mayor Ed Lee and the City of San Francisco on creating a similar program locally, which helped generate over 5,000 summer opportunities.

Roberto is a co-author of AfterCollege’s 7,213,019 patent, covering the company’s proprietary online recruiting technology. Roberto is fluent in Spanish, English and also speaks some French. He enjoys traveling, running and developing new product ideas and partnerships for AfterCollege. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two young children.


Michael Dawes

Vice President of Sales and Partnerships

Michael joined AfterCollege in March, 2007 as Vice President of Channel Partnerships and became Vice President of Sales and Business Development in January of 2009. Previously, Michael enjoyed a successful career that spanned 13 years at the Houston Chronicle. Most recently, he was the Director of Recruitment Advertising, where he oversaw the newspaper’s recruitment business. During his tenure, the Chronicle saw double-digit growth in online advertising and print advertising revenue. Michael was also responsible for the launch of various online initiatives that contributed to this growth, making the Houston Chronicle one of the top performing newspapers in the country.

Michael obtained his B.A. degree in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.



Steve Girolami

Vice President of Engineering

Steve is the Vice President of Engineering at AfterCollege.  Steve joined AfterCollege in April 2006 as a director tasked with reinventing the technical operations of AfterCollege.Com.  Later on, his responsibilities expanded to include leadership in engineering and organizing software architecture upgrades for AfterCollege products and services.  Today he is responsible for staffing the engineering team with top talent and oversees all software development and technical operations at AfterCollege.  He brings over 10 years of experience in engineering management, systems engineering, and software architecture.  Prior to joining AfterCollege, Steve developed software products for UCSF, Cornish & Carey, and National Semiconductor

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations and Management Information Systems from Santa Clara University.


Tim Weaver

SVP, Product and Business Operations

Tim joined AfterCollege in June, 2014 as SVP, Product and Business Operations. Previously, he’s held executive\senior level product, operations, consumer\online marketing, and business development positions at Digital Air Strike, Dealix (acquired by the Cobalt Group), and HearMe. At Digital Air Strike, Tim joined the company and was instrumental in growing the business from its inception to $20M annual revenues. Similarly at Dealix, Tim was instrumental in growing the business from $1M to $80M in annual revenues.

Tim obtained his B.S. and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
