San Francisco, CA – February 13, 2006 - AfterCollege, Inc., the nation's largest career network specializing in recruitment at the college level, is pleased to report that in 2005, the company helped nursing student associations in its network raise more than $50,000 in funds. The money was raised mainly through employer-sponsored advertising on association web sites maintained by AfterCollege. The funds raised will go towards encouraging nursing education and other activities that assist students in the nursing profession. As of February, AfterCollege partners with 40 state student nursing associations and more than 300 nursing programs.

Started as a division of AfterCollege in 2002, AfterCollege Healthcare maintains the recruitment web sites of nursing schools and student nursing associations at no charge to schools or to students. The company generates revenue through posting and sponsorship fees from employers who advertise on the AfterCollege network. Employers, in turn, are able to target their messages to nursing students in specific schools or regions, resulting in cost effective advertising for them that is more targeted than traditional print or other online channels. Since its inception, nearly 1,000 healthcare employers have used AfterCollege to recruit students directly via academic departments and groups.
